Condition Description
This is the C-1 survival vest that was officially adopted by the US Army Air Corps for pilots during World War II. The purpose is a multi-purpose vest that makes it possible to carry various emergency survival goods compactly. The manufacturer is Kappel McDonald. The size is a free size that can be adjusted with three strings on the back.
The condition of the actual product is not terrible stains, but there are scratches on the corners of the container pocket, overall discoloration, and stains in multiple places. Also, the snap button on the lid of the container pocket on the left rear part has been blown off. There is a hole in the bottom of the container pocket on the upper right rear. These two places are the damages that are of concern, and I think that the others are good considering the elapsed time of 70 years or more from the manufacture. From the fact that the holster leather strap has almost no threads, it can be inferred that it was rarely used.
